Micheal Jordan had far too many highlights in his legendary career, too many brilliant plays to count. A few historical plays include the NCAA title-winning basket as a freshman against Georgetown, his game-winning shot over Craig Ehlo in the playoffs against Cleveland and so many other buzzer-beaters. However, the Jordan dynasty, when Jordan and the Chicago Bulls won their first championship.
The Bulls really were not supposed to win in 1991, as many thought the Bulls did not have a realistic chance against with an experienced opponent like Magic’s Lakers. This was largely based on the NBA’s rule of thumb, which was that a team needed to experience the Finals at least one time before being capable of winning the championship title. After, surprisingly, sweeping the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference Finals, Jordan and his team featuring Scottie Pippen, Horance Grant, John Paxson and Bill Cartwright, carried that momentum to the NBA Finals. Despite losing a close Game 1 at home, Micheal Jordan and the Chicago Bulls went on to win three straight on the Lakers’ home court and the Jordan Dynasty finally began.
