Did you play
with cards when you were younger? Didn't know how to play the game but
collecting was still pretty cool. Yeah, the person with the most cards was the
popular kid. If you were lucky enough they would trade you their card in
exchange. But HEY, there was also the other alternative. Playing cards for
keeps with a mini game called flips.
Magic: The
Gathering (1993)
This card
game was the first made collectible type that revolutionized the new cards of
today. Introduced in 1993 by Wizards of the Coast. The concept of this game was
based of dungeons and dragons, with creatures from fantasy themes drawings.
This game still remains as one of the top playing card games today.
Pokémon Cards
(1996)
Pokémon card game was the most popular during the 90’s. I think most of us didn't know how to play this game. But collecting the cards was cool at the time. We all wanted to become like Ash in the series of Pokémon. Collecting cards was like filling a register in the pokedex.
Super Deck
(1994)
Made after
the comic book series and acclaimed movies is the card game Super Deck. Just
like baseball fans collect their favourite member in the team. There is an
archive of heroes and villains from the series. One side of the team is based
occupying the heroes while the other side is the villains.
